The Global Social Enterprise Institute

GSEI arose from a 2014 Clinton Foundation sponsored Commitment to Action by entrepreneur W. Michael Short and was featured in “What’s Working: Small Business” by Huffington Post and Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses Initiative and highlighted for socially responsible "FinTech Innovation" in the Business & Management Review and for economic impact at the Obama White House.

Since its founding in 2014 at the Center of Excellence for Global Engagement & Impact at the Madden School of Business, Le Moyne College, in Syracuse, NY, GSEI has developed a global network of over 500 collaborating organizations.

Building on the momentum of a number of successful initiatives and partnerships, GSEI publicly announced the national expansion of its socially responsible FinTech platform in 2016 and relocated to NYC to collaborate on several high profile cross-sector initiatives and ventures like the International Innovators Initiative with the City of NY, City University of NY, and NYC Economic Development Corporation.
